Job Description
The City of Summerside is seeking experienced Police Constables to join our team. Reporting to: Police Chief
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operational activities of the department and follow direction from senior officers.
- Investigate offences and enforce Municipal, Provincial, and Federal Statutes.
- Prepare documentation for court and respond to calls for assistance and public service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Graduate of the Atlantic Police Academy or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of police duties and operational Police Command Centre procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with colleagues and the public.
- Able to follow directions and maintain physical fitness standards.
- Assets include a university degree, PROS training, and bilingualism.
